As the former senior planner for both the city and county governments, Denise Grabowski has a strong understanding of local government issues. She has worked on a nationally-recognized municipal future land use plan and managed the planning department of the fastest-growing county in coastal Georgia. Due the balance of her educational and professional background in science and planning, Ms. Grabowski maintains a unique balance for understanding interactions between natural and physical environments. She is a proponent of smart growth planning techniques utilized in harmony with the natural environment. Mrs. Grabowski has experience in developing plans of varying scopes, from a downtown redevelopment plan to a countywide greenspace plan. She also has a strong understanding of legal and regulatory issues, having authored and updated various development regulations.
